Books and Series I Wouldn’t Enjoy, Today

Hey Night Owls! I thought I would talk about the books I’ve read in the past that I probably wouldn’t read again. This isn’t a post about books I dislike, but a post about books in genres I don’t really read anymore. I’ve gotten older so my tastes have changed!

Matched by Ally Condie

matchedThis was one of the books that introduced to YA.  Matched is about Cassia who lives in a society where the government decides everything for you. They decide who you will love, where you will work, and even when you die. During her Matching ceremony, the unthinkable happens, two people have been Matched with Cassia. I read this back in elementary school and enjoyed it, but that was when everyone was reading Dystopian.

Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter

gallagher girlsThis was the second YA series I read to the finish. The series is about an all girls private spy school. Yes the concept was cool at the time, but it would probably bore me now. This series is targeted toward younger people reading YA.

The Secret Circle by L.J. Smith

the secret circleI read the original series by L.J. Smith because I loved the show and The Vampire Diaries. The series follows Cassie as she discovers that she is a witch. She joins a coven known as the Secret Circle. I loved it when I read, but I think I would get annoyed at how dated the series is. It was published back in 1990, and hasn’t aged well.

Let me know in the comments if you have the same feeling with other books or series.

Happy reading 😉
